Toddler Style With The Essential One

With Summer on the horizon and party and wedding season rapidly approaching I've been on the look out for an outfit for Emelia.  We've got several parties and a wedding to attend this year and I wanted something that would be versatile but different and a little bit special.  Emelia received this beautiful Vintage Fairy Cat dress from The Essential One*, it's available in sizes 3-6 months right up to 5-6 years, the retail price is £22.49-£24.99, however, it's currently in the sale with 50% reduction (I believe all sizes are in stock at the moment).

The Essential One have a range of beautiful outfits and sleepsuits for both boys and girls. The Vintage Fairy Cat dress Emelia is wearing is made of 100% cotton and is fully lined too which gives it a luxurious feel, without being too hot or thick.  The peachy-pink and white stripe is a lovely colour scheme for spring/summer, it's delicate, girlie and different to that you'd see on the high street (or that I've seen in any case!).  There's something very sweet-shop Esq about this dress, every time I look at it the colours make me think of the sweetie scene in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (not sure if baby brain is just acting up again - or does anyone else agree?!).

The detailing on the dress is beautiful, from the embroidered Fairy Cat by the pocket and flowers on the front to the buttons and label detailing on the reverse and the quality is superb.  There are a few reasons the dress has been a hit with Emelia; it has pockets (!), it's pink, she adores fairies and cats, so a Fairy Cat was extremely exciting for her and it has a fairly full skirt, which prompted "WOW Mummy look, I'm a PRINCESS" Que off balance twirl! I like how it has short sleeves, most 'occasion' style dresses are sleeveless and with the unpredictable British weather, it's nice for Emelia to have the extra coverage, equally protecting her shoulders and tops of her arms from the scorching Cyprus sun!

I'd class the length as 'midi' which I think is lovely and a length you don't often see, perfect for spring/summer and a great outfit choice, suitable for a range of occasions, whether it be a smart casual BBQ to more formal party or wedding.   The Essential One have a site wide sale at the moment, with some beautiful pieces for all occasions.  I have fallen in love with The Essential One and their clothing, Emelia and Oscar 's wardrobes are certainly going to be seeing more from the brand, so keep an eye out for more outfit posts and photos across my social media!

*We received the dress in exchange for this review, as always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
